Socks

Treat Your Feet

If you ride a bike you probably have feet, so you'll need to wear socks, and the right selection can improve health, hygene and comfort, which translates into better cycling enjoyment and performance.

Of course, thicker, thermal socks when it's cold outside and light weight, breathable ones for warmer weather are sensible ideas and the choice of fabrics can be as important as the length or thickness. Thin, fast wicking designs that dry quickly when washed are the choice of racers and summer cyclists for obvious reasons while lined thermal and windproof models help keep your tootsies warm in the winter, especially when combined with overshoes. Merino wool socks are very much de rigueur as a natural fibre that breathes and insulates well even when wet.
